Ophthalmology Theory Contents: VIVA

Although there is 1 book by Falcon Publishers dealing with VIVA question bank for 3rd yr MBBS available in the market, it is not completely perfect. We intend to build up the VIVA question bank. So we request the interested final year students to come forward and send the VIVA questions(that you were asked in university OPHTHALMOLOGY viva exam, i.e during 3rd yr RGUHS exam during viva) with/without answers to nandishb.bmc@gmail.com

on management of ACG, first start with a drop of miotic to the non affected eye. Then add a drop of timilol or betaxolol every 1 minute for five minutes and every 5 minutes for an hour. There is iris ischemia so the pupil will remain in the same mid- dilated position. Then systemic therapy consists of Tab. Acetazolamide 500 mg stat. Its effect starts in a couple of hours. Then iv use of mannitol 1gm/kg body weight. Then hospitalize and treat for headache or vomiting.
